ARE WE REALLY MAD ENOUGH YET?

ARE WE REALLY MAD ENOUGH YET?: “‘I’M MAD AS HELL AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE’

These now oft-repeated words and the outrage associated with them came across quite clearly at the recent Tea Parties. The phrase originates in the movie Network when Peter Finch’s character, Howard Beale, shouts the classic words with a passion we all feel these days.

But I don’t think we are mad enough.

If you want some fiery motivation for rallying behind historical American principles, honest character, less government, fiscal responsibility and personal responsibility; read and RESPOND (by letters, emails, getting the word out) to these:

1) The Rachel Maddow Show’ on MSNBC trashes Tea Parties

NOTE: ‘teabagging’ is an obscure term for a particular sex act. The definition of it is in the Urban Dictionary (Warning, it’s labeled pornographic.) Just do a Google search it at the Urban Dictionary if you are interested.

Recent synonyms added to the Urban Dictionary for the word – introduced just recently by readers during the Tea Parties — include: ‘pouting, whining, complaining, bemoaning, and being annoying.’

**Aren’t we all so happy that journalism is so mature, thoughtful, and educational?**

2) CNN reporter rudely belittles a tea party participant:

**Aren’t we all so happy there is no bias in the news media?**

3) New York Times columnist Paul Krugman opinion piece
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/13/opinion/13krugm...

Excerpts from his editorial: ‘Republicans have become embarrassing to watch. And it doesn’t feel right to make fun of crazy people,.’ He adds tea parties are not an accurate representation of public sentiment. ‘They’re AstroTurf (fake grassroots) events, manufactured by the usual suspects.’

**Aren’t we all so happy to be called crazy and fake — and thus ignored and marginalized so aren’t listened to at all?**

4) Actress Janeane Garofalo
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2184726/…

Garofalo says, ‘The reason a person is a conservative republican is because something is wrong with them. Again, that’s science – that’s neuroscience. You cannot be well adjusted, open-minded, pluralistic, enlightened and be a republican. It’s counter-intuitive. And they revel in their anti-intellectualism. They revel in their cruelty.’

**Aren’t we all so happy to have our way of life and beliefs called cruel and sick?**

5) The recent Department of Homeland Security’s report, ‘Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment’
http://michellemalkin.com/2009/04/15/you-might-be…

Conservative blogger Michelle Malkin writes about this DHS report:
‘What and who exactly are President Obama’s homeland security officials afraid of these days? If you are a member of an active conservative group that opposes abortion, favors strict immigration enforcement, lobbies to protect Second Amendment rights, protests big government, advocates federalism, or represents veterans who believe in any of the above, the answer is: You.’

**Aren’t we all so happy our beneficent government is so kind to watch and keep over us this way?**

ARE WE MAD ENOUGH YET?

*Tired of having your way of life, religion, and politics scoffed as anti-intellectual?
*Fed up with being laughed at as being no more than a bunch of whiney Archie Bunkers?
*Ticked off at politicians whose nose-rings are held by snobbish, ‘intellectual’ elites?
*Had enough of haughty reporters who want to push their own agendas?
*Disgusted at those who think regular, working, and conservative Americans don’t rate?
*Pissed off that dropping the ‘g’ in your words – as in ‘fishin’’— is seen as proof that you are too backward and too uneducated to be listened to?
*Outraged enough that those in the Red State heartland are considered nothing more than boneheaded, loggerheaded, and thickheaded?

Are you mad enough?

Numbers – as in voting numbers – are all politicians listen to. We must put aside our many differences and focus on our conservative values, our appreciation of our founding fathers, and our honoring of the Constitution. We know we want less government, less wasteful spending, and less two-faced, mealy mouthed politicians. We also know the left thinks us cruel, gun-wielding, and greedy. WE MUST START FIRST BY CARING FOR PEOPLE AND VALUES MORE THAN THE POLITICS. We must be a truly grassroots movement by helping in our communities, building a positive name for conservative values, and making our voices heard at every government level. (Face it, we don’t always let people know how much good we do in our communities.) City, state, federal – we need a constant stream of people always vocalizing, always willing to volunteer, and always vigilant against bloated government that makes no sense and promotes a social welfare culture.

So, I ask again, ARE YOU MAD ENOUGH?
